Learn How to Think Like a Dog on August 20 at the Davis Branch Library

(Woodland, CA) – Yolo County’s Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, located at 315 East 14th Street in Davis, again welcomes veterinarian, animal behaviorist and author, Dr. Sophia Yin, for a speaking engagement on Wednesday, August 20, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Dr. Yin’s will present “The Difference a Measure Makes: How Science and Practical Solutions Can Take Your Dog Training to a New Level”.

Dr. Sophia Yin is a veterinarian, applied animal behaviorist and the author of many books about pet behavior modification. Dr. Yin currently runs a behavior house-calls practice in California and lectures and teaches workshops internationally on behavior modification and low stress handling. Previously, she was the award-winning pet columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Dr. Yin has consulted for several zoos and served as a behavior expert for television shows such as Animal Planet’s “Dogs 101” and National Geographic’s “Animal Gone Wild”. Dr. Yin seeks to inspire people to understand their pets and get positive results more efficiently and successfully than ever before so they can share a more enjoyable relationship. This event is free, presented by the Yolo County Library and will be held in the Blanchard Room of the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, which is accessible for persons with disabilities.
