The County of Yolo has funding available to provide eligible homeowners with low-interest rate loans to make repairs to their homes primarily addressing health or safety related issues. These loans are available to homeowners in the unincorporated areas of the county. Funding is provided through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the county's revolving loan fund, and the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) program.
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
Household income at, or below 80% area median based on household size (see the State CDBG and HOME's Table of Income Limits for current figures here)
Own their home
Need repairs that are health or safety related
Live in the unincorporated areas of Yolo County
The loan program includes:
Interest rates as low as 3%
Loan amounts up to $90,000 (CDBG) or subsidy limits (HOME)
Flexible loan repayment terms
Home Elevation Rehab (After)
The Housing Rehabilitation Program can also provide loans to rental property owners who rent to income qualified families in the unincorporated areas of the County.
