What is the Yolo Training Academy (YTA)?
The YTA is a County-sponsored organizational and staff development program, intended to prepare the employees of Yolo County for the challenges of meeting countywide goals, developing a productive work environment, and establishing a quality workforce. Training includes areas such as; fiscal responsibility, customer service, performance, personal growth, professional acumen, communication, operational readiness, and training to comply with laws.
Our training is now provided primarily by County and other local agency experts. Participation as an instructor is supported by county administration and the Board of Supervisors as a means to be flexible, relevant, and responsive to organizational needs. Our training has never been better due to this responsiveness and interaction with other agencies that participate in the training sessions.
