    • The Yolo County Public Defender's Office is comprised of 22 attorneys (including the Public Defender and Chief Deputy Public Defender), 4 investigators, and 5 legal support staff.
       
  • About our work
    • In 2012, the Yolo County Public Defender's Office was appointed to represent clients in 3,051 newly opened or reopened felony cases, 2,270 newly opened or reopened misdemeanor cases, 443 newly opened or reopened juvenile delinquency cases, plus miscellaneous conservatorships, mental health matters, drug court and other reviews, dependency matters, criminal contempt proceedings, and adoption matters involving the termination of parental rights. 
    • In 2012, the Yolo County Public Defender's Office was the attorney of record in 74% of the 104 jury trials litigated county wide.
