Patrick Turturici Appointed Juvenile Detention Facility Superintendent
(Woodland, CA) – Yolo County Chief Probation Officer Brent Cardall has announced the appointment of Patrick Turturici as superintendent of juvenile detention facilities. He fills the position recently vacated by Ray Simmons, who was promoted to assistant chief probation officer.
Mr. Turturici’s career in law enforcement began in 1985. Most recently, he served as the undersheriff in Lake County. Prior to that, he was the undersheriff for San Benito County from 2005 to 2010. In Yolo County, Mr. Turturici will be overseeing the business operations of the Juvenile Detention Facility and the Alternative Sentencing Work Program and Transportation Unit. Additionally, he will continue the partnerships with the Yolo County Office of Education, California Forensic Medical Group and a variety of contractual partners associated with the Work Program Unit.
Mr. Turturici holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from San Jose State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia and holds multiple basic, intermediate, advanced and management training certificates from the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

Patrick Turturici will assume the responsibilities of Yolo County superintendent of juvenile detention facilities on May 5. The salary range for this position is $87,456-$106,308.
