Yolo County Library Invites Residents to ‘Community Conversations’ in April
(Woodland, CA) – Dear Valued Community Member – we’d like to hear from you! Please join the Yolo County Library for an evening meal and ‘Community Conversation’ in April to help guide planning improvements at library branches in the next 20 years.
The Yolo County Library is looking for feedback and input from community members as they develop a ‘Facilities Master Plan’. Whether you are a current library user, have not visited the library in a long time, or have never visited a library, your voice matters. The information from these ‘Community Conversations’ will help the Library understand what is important to residents and the role the Library could play in the community.
The Library is transforming and is no longer just about books or the written word. People use the library for multiple reasons, from Wi-Fi and internet access, to programs and services such as Storytime, Books by Mail, LINK+ and Career Online High School. The role of the library is evolving to match the needs of the community and the pace of society. For many, the library is a safe haven and community center for respite, connection and information. To help the library through the next 20 years and for long range planning, feedback from the community is essential.
Each of the following ‘Community Conversations’ will have an evening meal and light refreshments provided:
• Monday, April 3: 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, located at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis
