Yolo County has a homeless shelter for General Assistance (GA) applicants and recipients. You must have a scheduled GA appointment or currently be receiving GA benefits and be homeless to be able to go into the shelter.

The cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters and Woodland partner with the County of Yolo to fund the Homeless Coordination Project. The Project provides funds for the Cold Weather Shelter and a Homeless Coordinator to deliver homeless coordination services. The Homeless Coordination Project and its community partners, including the Yolo County Homeless and Poverty Action Coalition, have successfully coordinated efforts to help alleviate the problems of homelessness and to obtain funding through collaborative relationships. The Project has helped to raise over $833,000 annually in Federal and State grants.
