Yolo Bonus Bucks is a Pilot Program in Yolo County funded by a USDA FINI Grant. The purpose of the program is to make fruits and vegetables more affordable for Yolo County CalFresh clients. CalFresh clients will receive a 50% discount on eligible fruits and vegetables at local retail partner locations.

Use the Bonus Bucks Discount Card with your EBT Card and Stretch Your CalFresh Dollars
Yolo Bonus Bucks Discount Cards will be mailed out in late October to all CalFresh clients in Yolo County. These are scannable plastic cards, similar to gift cards. Cashiers at our partner retailer locations will scan the Bonus Bucks Discount Card at the register in order to apply the discount. (Cashiers cannot manually apply the discount; clients must present their Yolo Bonus Bucks Card, along with their EBT card, in order to recieve the discount.) The maximum discount amount is $30.00 per purchase. The Yolo Bonus Bucks Discount Card is only for use by Yolo County CalFresh clients, and the discount only works when clients pay with their EBT cards.

Yolo County is partnering with four local retail locations to offer this discount.
Only the specified locations above are participating in the program. The Bonus Bucks discount card will not work at these retailers' other locations.
The Bonus Bucks Program is a temporary pilot program with a limited amount of funding. This program will go from November 1 – December 31, 2015, or until funding runs out. Yolo County will update this website and send out notifications to all CalFresh clients if the program ends early.
Knights Landing Mobile Farm Stand
The Yolo Bonus Bucks Pilot Program aldo includes a rural initiative to increase availability and consumption of fruits and vegetables among CalFresh clients in Knights Landing. Partnering with the Center for Land-Based Learning and Hearty Fork Farm, a Mobile Farm Stand will be set up at Sci-Tech Academy in Knights Landing twice a month, offering a variety of produce. The stand is open to the public from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 12 and 19 and December 10 and 17, and will accept EBT and Yolo Bonus Bucks discount cards.
